Switching from EL2202-0000 to EL2202-0100 and back

To switch the EL2202 from one mode to the other the configuration has to be changed via a write access to the EEPROM in the terminal. In the Beckhoff TwinCAT System Manager this can be done conveniently via a dialog.

A right-click on the EL2202 in TwinCAT configuration tree, allows change to an “Alternative Type”, and selection of the other EL2202.

Switching of operating mode EL2202-0000 -> EL2202-0100 During the write access (several seconds) the power supply for the EL2202 and the EtherCAT communication must not be interrupted. The EL2202 then has to be restarted.
